I Prog G2 sono cresciuti ascoltando una varietà di musicisti e generi musicali che hanno avuto un ruolo fondamentale nel plasmare il suo sound personale. Oggi, il gruppo cerca di offrire qualcosa di diverso e unico ai suoi fans, creando e condividendo musica originale caratterizzata da un mix di generi.
Dopo anni passati a suonare in gruppi dell'area Torinese, Gian Claudio Cassisa e Gianni Scarsella hanno condiviso per oltre 15 anni l'esperienza dei "Limite Invalicabile" gruppo di cover Pop/rock di cui sono stati il fulcro insieme al batterista, amico di sempre Franco Sena.
Alla conclusione di questa fase, hanno sentito l’esigenza di creare una produzione loro che permettesse di esprimersi sia musicalmente che a livello di contenuti.
E’ nata cosi’ l’idea dei Prog G2 basata principalmente su musica “progressive” che ha permesso di integrare e sperimentare stili e strumentazione diversa, dai synt piu’ spinti e chitarra distorta agli archi piu’ classici e chitarra acustica.
E' seguito quindi un periodo dedicato alla composizione, agli arrangiamenti ed alla registrazione e mixaggio per sfociare nel 2020 col completamento degli 11 pezzi che compongono il primo lavoro : "Viaggi introspettivi"
Al fine di passare dallo studio al "live" nel 2020 si sono uniti il bassista Carlo Villavecchia yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy ed il batterista Renato xxxx
Per alcuni, la musica è solo un modo per scaricarsi e ricaricarsi, ma per Prog G2 è molto di più: è uno stile di vita.

BIOGRAPHY
Prog G2 grew up listening to a variety of musical genres and musicians who played a vital role in shaping their personal sound. Today, the group offers its fans a different and unique product creating and sharing original music characterized by a mix of genres.
After years of playing as group members in Turin area (Italy), Gian Claudio Cassisa and Gianni Scarsella have been sharing for over 15 years the experience of the "Limite Invalabile" pop / rock cover group of which they were the fulcrum together with the drummer and a friend of all time Franco Sena.
At the end of this phase, they felt the need to create their own production that would allow to express themselves both musically and in terms of content.
Thus the idea of Prog G2 was born, mainly based on "progressive" music, which allows to integrate and experiment with different styles and instruments: from the most intense synthesizer and distorted guitar to the most classic string and acoustic sound.
A period dedicated to composition, arrangements, recording and mixing has followed, leading in 2020 to the completion of the 11 songs, which are part of the first work: “Viaggi introspettivi” (Introspective journeys)
In order to move from studio to "live", bassist Carlo Villavecchia joined the group ; he has been the bassist of "Desamband", resident-group of the IISS "DesAmbrois" in Oulx for 30 years. Some time later the drummer Nicola Bizzarro who experienced in various pop/rock bands among which the Strumanello's Rock Band , joined the group as well.
